A chatbot for business in Armenia: what it solves and what it costs in 2026

Why businesses in Yerevan use Telegram and WhatsApp chatbots, which tasks they cover — from bookings to sales — and what turnkey development costs.

A chatbot is the fastest automation a small business can deploy and actually recoup: weeks to launch, then it works 24/7 with no salary and no days off. Let's look at what a bot genuinely does well, where it's useless, and what it costs in Armenia in 2026.

What a bot covers for a business

Round-the-clock lead capture. A customer writes on Telegram or WhatsApp at 11 pm — the bot takes the request, asks clarifying questions and drops the result into your CRM. In the morning you just call back. Without a bot, that customer often goes to whoever answered first.

Bookings. Salons, clinics, car services: the bot shows free slots, books, and reminds the client a day before the visit. Reminders alone cut no-shows by about a third.

Answers to repeated questions. Prices, address, opening hours, delivery terms — up to 70% of inquiries repeat. The bot answers instantly and hands complex questions to a human, with the full conversation history attached.

Sales and follow-ups. A catalog, cart and payment right inside the messenger, plus segmented follow-ups: "your appointment is in a week", "you looked but didn't order".

Scripted bot or AI bot

A scripted bot (buttons, branches) is cheaper and more predictable — ideal for bookings and lead capture. An AI bot understands free-form questions, answers from your knowledge base and sounds like a live consultant — it costs more but genuinely offloads support. Often the right answer is a hybrid: scripts for booking, AI for questions.

What it costs in Armenia

  • Scripted bot (bookings, leads, notifications) — from $500, 1–2 weeks.
  • AI consultant bot on top of your knowledge base — from $1,200, 2–4 weeks.
  • Bot with integrations (CRM, payments, ERP, telephony) — from $1,500 depending on the stack.

Then comes maintenance: keeping the bot healthy after messenger API updates and extending scenarios. Usually a small monthly fee or one-off improvements.

Where a bot won't help

Honestly: a bot won't save you if nobody processes the leads, if the product isn't selling because of price, or if your clients only come by word of mouth and prefer to call. A bot amplifies a working process — it doesn't replace one.

Where to start

Write out your last 10 client conversations and note which questions repeat — those are your bot's future scenarios. If you'd rather have us do it — drop us a line: within 24 hours we'll come back with a bot plan for your task and a fixed price. Examples of our bots are in the case studies.
